I am a lawyer and used to study for exams with a large number of questions to prepare. Up First Aid Q & A came out there were not many sources with 1000 + questions, which covered several topics. All and all an excellent question book that I’ve used for my class in the exam and that I intend to use for Step 1. Rating: 5 / 5

If you’re old school like me that you need to study from a physical book and can not simply study from a computer (ie online QBank as UsmleWorld, Kaplan, etc as most rave about but which turned out to be useless for me and my learning style ), so I strongly recommend this qbook. There is no doubt that online QBank like UsmleWorld are supposed to be really good – per student / non-physician reviewers – but if you’ve tried them and found it difficult to learn from them, because they do not work well with your learning style). The fine This book is almost 1000 questions came directly from the First Aid’s online QBank (UsmleRx) giving you the same benefits from practicing their online query source (which also has really good reviews). In step 1, get a good book to study from (I would recommend the Usmle Step 1 Secrets 2nd Edition of Brown & Brown – see my review here on Amazon – for a thorough conceptual and integrated case review conference!) Plus do this qbook (If you have the time or need more help to train and learn from, then your next book is Kaplan’s Step 1 qbook). And of course, assess yourself with a couple NBMEs to see if you’re ready for the test. Rating: 5 / 5

Before reading this review, it should be noted that I have not taken my degree, so I talk about how much knowledge and information I get from every source, rather than their degrees pay-out (which of course is important). With this disclaimer this book is a good way to reinforce certain subjects from first aid to Stage 1, particularly in the monotonous reading of the text is boring and your mind becomes saturated. I am a great believer in the medical students rather than to expand our portfolio (which we do not have because all our money went to medical school:)), we should diversify our methods for studying and strengthening agents in FIRST AID, this would be a way to do it. But from my understanding of the information contained in first aid is not enough to score well on the boards, although it may be enough to pass. This book does not give much additional information beyond First Aid for Step 1, although a few percent of the questions that do an excellent job of integrating concepts from different clinical sciences and force you to apply what you learned from the FA and not just memorize it . As others have mentioned, and I will repeat here, is in no way replaces the Kaplan QBank, USMLE World, etc. and in my opinion, primarily serves the strengthening of the issues and facts presented in First Aid. Moreover, there are some minor mistakes and some direct conflicts with other texter.Hoppas this help, good luck to everyone in step 1. Rating: 3 / 5
